My first pictures

My first pictures. I have far too many to put into this post, but ill do my best. 

Like I said in my first blog post I have been taking pictures for a while now. Most of the images I took in my first year I have either misplaces or only have an instagram picture as a lot of my images I took using my Mobile.

All the below images were took using a Samsung mobile at the time. and this is what got me started in the world of photography.


Hope you enjoy looking my very first pictures. No one has ever seen these as I have posted them anywhere. 

The spider above. Not sure what type it is but I set my phone to macro mode and zoomed in as far as I could and got as close as the focus would let me. Personally I think it has came out pretty well.

 This picture is what a friend took using my phone. Nice action shot of my up the bike tracks in Sunderland, UK

My phone also took half decent night shots. This is the night before the Sunderland International Air Show.

Am I a photographer???

Hello and welcome to my new blog. 

My name is Lewis Brown, I am a Sunderland based photographer-well if I can call myself that, what does one have to do or achieve to call himself a photographer??? Ill let you decide...









I have been doing this (taking photos) for around 4 years now. as most people I started out with my mobile. upgraded to my first DSLR- a Nikon D40. At the time this camera was brilliant. but as I grew and started to learn how the camera worked and was producing half decent images. It seemed that I had out grown the camera and it was not suitable for the work I wanted to do. A few years later I upgraded to a Nikon D300 with battery grip, and a few new lenses. 

In this short amount of time I have learnt so much and it has been all self taught. Youtube videos, Magazines and Social Media have helped me get to where I am now. 

In the 4 years I have been doing this I have had my sports images published in the Gazette Newspaper, A article written about me the Sunderland echo. I have helped people with their Modelling portfolios. and had a brief encounter with the very difficult wedding industry.

So at this time I am concentrating on just taking photos. and if sales come they come if they don't well........

So all in all, I am a photographer??? I am going to say yes... but I still have a long way to go.
